  18. <p>     Is Tom Hanks a Master of the Universe? The actor most
  19. certainly looked like The Bonfire of the Vanities' Sherman
  20. McCoy last week as he crossed Park Avenue carrying a briefcase
  21. and clutching a film moppet's hand. Tom Wolfe's best seller is
  22. being shot in Manhattan with a neatly coiffed and expensively
  23. tailored Hanks as the beleaguered Wall Streeter who feels a
  24. "refreshing nip of fatherhood" while walking his daughter to
  25. her school bus stop. From there it's all uphill to the Bronx and
  26. the final steps to the graffiti-marked courthouse where McCoy
  27. gets his comeuppance.
